Black Box Theatre
From Staples High Wiki
The Black Box Theatre (Room 461) is, as the name implies, a black box theatre within the school's Building F. It was built on order of the Staples Players, as the enormity of theatre at Staples warranted such an ediface. The main purpose of the Black Box is to be the new form of the old Black Box, which was situated in the place of what is now the Faculty Dining Area of the Cafeteria. Like many places at Staples, the original Black Box was overcrowded.
Unlike the Auditorium, the Black Box is used as an auxiliary performing vehicle. It is typically where rehearsals for Staples Players are held, as well as Theater Classes.
The Black Box features an abundance of acoustic panels on the walls, a DMX512 lighting system, and five rows of collapsable bleachers in the back.
