Building F (still usually called the Four building, as this is what the building still in a way represents) is the home of the Fine Arts department as well as the Staples Auditorium and its littler self, the Black Box Theatre. The Four Building was almost entirely redone from 19 February through 2 September 2005, although the two main rehearsal rooms, as well as the hallway, Scenery Shop and Auditorium remain. Building F also has a distinct lore within the Staples community, having been the home to the Fine and Performing Arts departments.

Before the recent renovation, it was also a separated from the rest of the school in the sense that you would never have to walk through it unless you were going somewhere within it. For its first five months of usage, Building F was the only way to get from the Cafeteria, Buildings 5 and 6 and the Athletics areas to the new building, making its hallway often bottlenecked during passing time. This changed after February vacation, when the final move took place.

Building F is usually still called, and is, the Four Building, as the room numbers in this building were kept to be entirely "4xx".

Criticisms

Building F has many flaws to it. Most notably, the lockers inside the Band and Orchestra rehearsal rooms are not what was ordered, which was supposed to be only some of the full-size only lockers that exist currently and to have a great deal of smaller ones. Work is being done to fix this problem but there is no set date for corrections yet.

Additionally, the room sizes were not built great enough, and the purpose to have Band and Orchestra meet always in their own rooms (460 for Orchestra, 465 for Band) did not work out. For the Freshman and Symphonic Band/Orchestra, rehearsal for the large group is in Room 465, while the small group meets in 460. The Sophomore groups and Chorus are unaffected by this.

Lighting issues are also dominant, with the hallways of this building losing lighting at given moments. However, rooms are unaffected.
