Channel 78

Channel 78 is Cablevision's educational access channel that serves Westport (and the rest of Area 9). It is also linked to the Institution Net, or I-Net, which carries educational and governmental access channels for all of area 9. Staples, Coleytown, Bedford, and Green's Farms have the ability to broadcast directly onto channel 78, although Staples broadcasts most of the time.

At Staples, the broadcast is controlled by an 8-way automatic switcher/control unit. It can control a set of VCR's and DVD Player's to play shows such as North Avenue News, or can be set to broadcast live from the Media Lab. When there isn't a show on, it displays the TV System, with background music of past Players shows (as well as middle school plays).
