The Five Building was one of the original eight buildings constructed in 1958 when the campus moved to North Avenue, and was in place for Generations Three and Four. It was located just south of the Gymnasium, bordered by the Six building to the south, and the North Courtyard to the west. Along with the Six building, the Five Building was one of two to overlook the Athletic Fields.

Demolition update

The Five building was disused on Friday, February 17, 2006. It was turned over to the Construction on February 23, 2006, after moving into Building K (for some, Building G) was completed.

Moving was completed from the Five building on Wednesday, 22 February. The next morning, a physical barrier was placed at the entrance to the building on the ramp beside the Gymnasium. Asbestos Abatement has commenced. Additionally, the tan facade, added during Modernization around the top of the building that used to be seen from the outside is now gone.

Asbestos abatement was completed by mid-March, and as of now interior demolition is just about complete. Demolition of the structure itself will begin Monday, 17 April 2006, and has since been completed.
