Greenhouse

The Greenhouse at Staples High School is an area in Building K (Room 3055) that will be used to grow indoor plants in Horticulture Class. It was built as a replacement for the original Greenhouse on the upper floor of the Nine building, which was demolished with the rest of that building in February 2005. Its location is due to the fact that the slanted glass roof must face south to receive optimal sunlight.

The new Greenhouse was completed as Building K opened on February 27; however it will not see use until the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year; Horticulture's semester-long curriculum has not met since 2004 due to the closing of the old greenhouse during the vacating of Building Nine in December 2004.
