Originally code named IOTW, Inklings Online was developed by the Computer Club during the same time that Staples Online was formed. Nathan Faber wrote backend SQL functions and administrative functions, Michael Mulligan designed the HTML static pages and graphics, while Eric Schoeller wrote display functions and integrated Nathan's functions into Michael's static pages to make them dynamic. The webpage can be accessed at inklings.stapleshigh.net/.

Eric Schoeller was also the Layout editor for Inklings and took on the task of importing numerous articles into the system. Over time, members of Inklings needed to spend more time on the production of the actual newspaper, so online editions became limited.

At the end of the 2005-06 school year, Inklings asked the Computer Club to construct a new website. Justin Sherman quickly designed an interim webpage for Inklings. This site can be reached at www.inklingsnews.com.

A brand new webpage is planned for the 2006-07 school year.
